Dear Braeside Families,

Please remember there is no school today as it is a Professional Learning Day for staff.

This week we welcomed our Artist in Resident, Jennifer Stables to Braeside School and the first few days have been fantastic! Please ask your child what they have learned so far and what they are working on. We know that students will be excited to show-off their art projects at our Celebration of Learning on May 2. During our Celebration of Learning on May 2 students will also be showcasing what they have been learning during music class. Each grade grouping will be doing a short performance in the gym. Please plan on attending the Celebration of Learning during a timeframe that includes your child’s performance.

Schedule as follows (students meet in the music room):

  • Kindergarten - 5:00 pm
  • Grade 1 / 2 – 5:20 pm
  • Grade 2 / 3 – 5:45 pm
  • Grade 3 / 4 – 6:10 pm
  • Grade 5 / 6 – 6:30 pm

Your child will be excited to perform and take you to their classroom!

That night, School Council will also host a “Hot Dog Fundraiser” and they will be selling tickets for the Family Dance in June. They are looking for volunteers for both events so please sign up if you can!!

We are busy planning for next year already! If you know that your child(ren) are not returning to Braeside School next year please email Mrs. Bennett and Ms. Blasken (mabennett@cbe.ab.ca, jlblasken@cbe.ab.ca).

Additionally, if you have a child coming to us in kindergarten (or know of a family who has a student coming) please register them as soon as possible. This can be done through the main CBE website(Please call the office if you need support with this).
