Dear Braeside Families, 

We hope that everyone is looking forward to the upcoming long weekend.  Please remember that there is no school tomorrow or Friday.  We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Tuesday. 

We are very excited about the Family Dance next week!  Here is a message from our School Council: 

  • Don't forget, the School Dance will soon be here!! The Braeside Family Dance will be on Thursday, February 20 from 5:30-7:30pm. We hope to see you all there! 
  • * Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door and space is limited. Students can purchase tickets from the office over lunch next week. 
  • We are still looking for volunteers for various shifts and positions during the evening. Please take a look at the opportunities and consider signing up. We need your help to make this a success!! 
  • Pizza can also be purchased in advance through Healthy Hunger (healthyhunger.ca) and picked up during the dance (order by Sunday the 16). (Please note that there is also Fun Lunch at school that day from Subway).

Please note that school fees are posted on your MyCBE account.  Please check to see if you have any outstanding fees (e.g. lunchroom supervision fees).  If you require help accessing your MyCBE account, please contact Ms. Blasken in the main office (jlblasken@cbe.ab.ca). 

Kindergarten registration is now open.  Please visit this link for more information.  If you require help with registration, please don’t hesitate to contact Ms. Blasken in the main office.  If you have friends, family members or neighbours with children going into kindergarten next year please encourage them to register as well.  

Grade 5 / 6 Families

As you already know, your child will be attending Outdoor School from May 6 – 8 (overnight).  Students are starting to get excited!  Woot!  Please plan on attending a mandatory parent meeting on April 10.  The fee (approximately $300) will be posted next month in your MyCBE account.  Please watch for that.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
