Dear Braeside Families,
Happy Friday! We enjoyed ending this week with a dance party in the Learning Commons this morning! It was great to see so much enthusiasm from our students. Check out our Instagram account for a couple of photos and videos from the party!
Kindergarten registration opened on Monday. If you have a younger child going into Kindergarten next year or have neighbours, friends or family members please encourage them to register as soon as possible. Registration is done online through the CBE website. Please visit this link for more information.
Ms. Blasken is currently running a puzzle club with grade 3 / 4 students. If you have any gently used puzzles that are 500 pieces or less that you can donate to the school, please send them in with your child!
It looks like the weather is going to take a sharp dip down over the next week. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for school. Fresh air is essential for kids and students go outside at least twice a day. Please ensure that all outdoor gear is labelled with your child’s name. Our Lost and Found is often overflowing with items and it is easier to reunite them with their owners if the item has a name on it.
Report Cards will be available through your MyCBE account on Monday January 27. Please read through the information sent home last Friday regarding report cards.
Grade 5 / 6 Families
As you already know, your child will be attending Outdoor School from May 6 – 8 (overnight). Students are starting to get excited! Woot! Please plan on attending a mandatory parent meeting on April 10. The fee (approximately $300) will be posted next month in your MyCBE account. Please watch for that. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
John Ware School is hosting their Open House on January 30 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. If your child is attending John Ware next year, please plan on going. There will be tours and information about the school provided. Please visit John Ware School's website for more information.
