Dear Braeside Families
Happy Friday!
It was great to see so many family members stop by last night for our Meet the Teacher Event! We know that students are eager to share with their families about Braeside School and the great work they do here when they run up to the front door and smile proudly when they are reminded that that they are in charge and the official tour guide! Thank you to School Council and all the volunteers who made the Hot Dog Fundraiser a success!
School Council will be hosting their AGM on Tuesday October 1 at 6:30 in the Learning Commons. Please consider attending the meeting and volunteering for a role, as many of the current council members have students in grade 6 and they will be leaving Braeside School next year. Getting involved this year would mean a new volunteer could work alongside someone with experience with the council. School Council members generally volunteer 2 to 4 hours a month (up to 2 hours attending the monthly meeting and up to 2 hours outside the meeting). Being involved in School Council is a great way to give back to the school for the benefit of your child.
Our next spirit day will be hosted on Friday October 4 and it is a TWIN DAY! Encourage your child to dress together with a classmate(s). For example, all wear hoodies and crocs or all wear T-shirts with their favorite characters. If your child doesn’t want to Twin with a classmate encourage them to wear blue! We will start the morning with a Dance Party in the Learning Commons at 7:50 am so please ensure your child arrives before 8:00 am that day.
